The aims of
the UK-PharmSci Conference 2010 are to showcase the best of
pharmaceutical science from the UK and around the world bringing together
academic and industrial institutions, providing state of the art
technologies and a platform for the development of new pharmaceutical
talent. The intention is to work with related partner organisations such as,
EUFEPS, JPAG, UK&ICRS, the HealthTech and Medicines Knowledge Transfer
Network, IPG and the RPSGB together with the Academy's focus groups to
deliver a high quality science programme.
In keeping with the Academy's philosophy to promote interaction and
collaboration between the multidisciplinary subjects which constitute the
pharmaceutical sciences we are keen to attract both undergraduate and
postgraduate students by offering a programme that develops presentation
skills and the scientific networks essential for future careers. The will
also be opportunities to network and enhance knowledge for both academic and
industrial attendees in a wide range of disciplines.
At the new-style conference on “The Science of Medicines” you will
hear presentations on the new findings from prestigious leaders and young
science researchers and in various topics including biopharmaceutics,
biologicals, materials science, pharmaceutical analysis, pharmaceutical
chemistry, particle processing, and quality by design, regenerative medicine
and medicinal chemistry.
The conference will have extensive opportunities for submitted oral
presentations and posters. Plenary presentations will include a Keynote
address by the Conference Chairman, Professor Kevin Shakesheff, University
of Nottingham, and Award Lectures.
The Conference will include a large pharmaceutical sciences exhibition to
highlight large pharma companies, small and medium size enterprises,
contract research organisations and technology suppliers. SMEs will
also have opportunity to present their technologies at a special showcase
event. The exhibition, related conference sessions and social events will
help delegates develop their personal and professional network to meet
future needs.
