2012 Conference Chair Confirmed

The Academy of Pharmaceutical Sciences is delighted to announce the Conference Chair for PharmSci 2012 is Professor Jayne Lawrence of the King's College London.

Jayne Lawrence holds an academic post at the Institute of Pharmaceutical Science, King’s College London where she is currently Professor of Biophysical Pharmaceutics. She is also Chief Science Advisor at the Royal Pharmaceutical Society. Professor Lawrence's research is focused in the areas of drug and gene delivery using surfactant, lipid and polymer based systems. In particular Jayne is interested in understanding the relationship between molecular structure, the internal architecture of the aggregated system the surfactant, lipid or polymer forms and its ability to effectively deliver its therapeutic payload. She has been instrumental in applying techniques such as neutron scattering to the study of drug and gene delivery systems. Jayne also has an interest in the interaction of drug and gene delivery systems with biological membranes.

If you would like to get involved in organising PharmSci 2012 or have any comments or suggestions on how the event can be improved and developed then please contact the APS Office at info@apsgb.org or call 0116 274 7351.
