Abstracts
The abstract submission process is now open.  The deadline for receipt of abstracts is the 15th April 2012

Abstracts must be submitted online and comply with the Abstract Submission Template which can be downloaded here.

Contributions should relate to original, previously unpublished work and should be in one of the following areas of pharmaceutical science.

1 Analytical Chemistry Pharmaceutical and biochemical analysis.
2 Biology and Biologics High-throughput screening assays, biomarkers, genes, peptides, proteins, vaccines.
3 Biopharmaceutics and Drug Metabolism Pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, in vitro dissolution, in vivo correlation, cell culture (including CACO-2 cells), metabolic processes, toxicology, pharmacogenetics/genomics, toxicogenetics/genomics.
4 Drug Delivery Pulmonary, transdermal, oral and other routes of drug administration (please specify), drug targeting, biological barriers, intracellular trafficking, delivery of small molecules and macromolecules, liposomes, colloids, conjugates and other self-assembled delivery systems
5 Materials Science Understanding the solid state. Particle engineering, crystallisation. Salt and form screening. The amorphous state. Physical characterisation. Novel polymers.
6 Medicinal Chemistry Drug discovery, design, synthesis, molecular modelling, combinatorial chemistry.
7 Pharmaceutical Microbiology Biofilms, antibiosis, pathenogenicity.
8 Pharmaceutical Technology Formulation and pharmaceutical processes.
9 Pharmacognosy Bioactive natural products, herbal medicines, Ethnopharmacology.
10 Pharmacology and Clinical Research Mechanism of drug action, including neuropharmacology, genomics, proteomics, treatment of diseases.
11 Tissue Engineering and Regenerative Medicine Biopolymers, biomaterials, synthesis and characterisation, tissue regeneration, stem cells, biodegradable scaffolds.
12 Other Areas Submissions for other areas other than those listed above are welcome.

Prizes:

  • There are 10 prizes of £100 which will be awarded to selected posters and oral presentations.
  • JPAG's "Geoffrey Phillips Analytical Science Awared"  [the prize is a bursary of up to £1000]
